A biopsy is the process of removing a small piece of tissue to be examined microscopically for any cancerous changes. A soft tissue biopsy is the most common type of biopsy used in detecting oral cancer.

You should always pay attention to any change in your mouth including the gums, cheek, tongue, roof and the floor. Although the majority of biopsies are not cancerous, it is important that tissue changes be evaluated and followed. We will help monitor closely any changes that occur in your mouth.
